Gharrie Exhibit: A Maltese import to Gibraltar in the
second half of the nineteenth century, the ‘Gharrie’ was once
a common sight on Gibraltar’s roads. The carriage on display,
number 34, belonged to the Martinez family and was the last, along
with its horse ‘Careto,’ to operate in Gibraltar until the
early 1990s. |
